Halloween night Kooper & I went to O'Donnell to go Trick or Treating with Chett's sister Farrah & her family!! We went to Lamesa to see Chett's mom & his grandparents too!! Here comes the Pirate! Hiding!!
We went out to the Corn Maze near Shallowater on a very windy Sunday afternoon!! It took a little over an hour to complete the whole maze, they have half way point where you can rest then come back to finish it when you are ready. We took a hayride when we got to the halfway point. Kooper was our fearless leader the first half, Chett was our leader the 2nd half! It sure was a lot of fun, lots of walking & wrong turns, but we had a blast! Every year is a different maze, this year was Raider Red!! You start at the top, near his gun, and finish at the bottom!!
Ready or not, we are OFF!! This was one of two bridges that you could climb on top of to see where you were!! Our fearless leader!!
Mom & Dad got a new puppy last week!! Not too sure what kind it is, but it sure is cute! They named it Honey, but I thought it looked more like a Charli. When we were taking these pictures she would only answer to Charli, guess we will see what Mom & Dad decide!
We spent Labor Day Weekend in Lamesa with Chett's family. We took the kiddos swimming Saturday afternoon at the Lamesa Country Club. Kooper's swimming has improved 100% since the beginging of the summer!! On Sunday we attended church with Chett's whole family for his grandparents 60th wedding anniversary!! Swimming with Chett is easy!! Get Ready, Get Set,.......
For all of you who don't know Chett has competed in triathlons all summer long, well he got wind of this Hotter N' Hell event held in Wichita Falls each August. He some how talked me into doing the race with him!! There are all sorts of events all weekend long. Chett participated in the Trail Ride on Friday evening and we both did the 25 mile race on Saturday morning!! The real race is the 100 mile race, but neither of us thought we were anywhere near ready for 100 miles, those guys are nuts!! Chett finished the 25 miles in an hours and 20 mins, I on the other hand finished in 2 hours and 30 mins!! I had a flat about 3 miles into the race, and thankfully a guy changed it for me!! The 25 miles flew by, there were rest stops every 10 miles, but I was very proud of myself for not stopping once, except for my flat!! The last rest stop was in the Air Force base!! At the end of the rest stop all the new recruits were standing on both sides of the street hooting & hollering for you!! It was pretty amazing, they were standing there yelling for us when all we are doing is riding in a race, when we should be yelling for them for severing our amazing country!! It was AWESOME!! We will defiantly go back next year!! Chett may try the 50 mile but I will stick with the 25 mile!!!
Chett & I before the race!! Proudly supporting TECH!!
